SLE Playoffs Round 2 CHI vs RT1

Good Chi Gaming vs Red Team 1

Sunday, 24th of April, 21:00 CEST

Top playoff action returns for the second day in a row with the first meeting between division big 4 teams(Vitagen, Good Chi, Evo, Red Team 1).

In our top bracket semi-finals, we have a tasty matchup between some of the SLE best and most entertaining teams – hunters of good sleep, good chi gaming, and wumbo-combo enjoyers, Red Team 1. These two teams already gave us an action-packed bo2 at the very end of the season where both teams showed highs and lows. Both teams blamed the draft for their losses, but I believe that it was just a well-played two games from both sides, with some mistakes, but overall class, setting up these close semi-finals. That time we were left hanging with score 1-1, but this time we will get closure in a bo3 series.

Word of the series will be – team fighting. Good Chi Gaming has found their best success in team fighting, while Red Team 1 is no stranger to the same game style with combos like rumble +
Jarvan IV or Kled + Rakan. These teams believe in their strengths and will provide us a great matchup of explosive fights.

While I expect a very competitive and well-matched series, I do have to give victory here to Good Chi Gaming, purely off the fact that they will have to win their games first, with more playmaking and stronger early game its in their hands to throw leads. Let me put it like this – if the game ends in the first 30 min, it's surely a GCG win, while if the game goes past 30 min, it is a coin flip. That is why I am going 2-1 for Good Chi in a highlight-reel team fight series.

Matchup of the series -  Loco(Good Chi Gaming, Support) vs Kitten/Manalune(Red Team 1, Support).

Both teams love to teamfight and both teams match up similarly with how each role in their team plays – Toplane plays fighters that provide teamfight presence with impactful Aoe abilities, both junglers play supportive style to their lanes while being no strangers to dealing damage themselves and shining as carrys at their moments, both midlaners have diverse champ pools to deal massive teamfight damage and make plays, Adc – self-proclaimed best ADC in SLE Flow vs community voted best ADC in SLE Savage, but really they just jinx and right-click,  the difference is going to be in support – Loco is a playmaking support with picks like Thresh, bard and nautilus he looks to be in the middle of the fight, land skill shots, tank damage and set up his carrys kills and spaces to carry, while (rt1) prefers buffing up their carries with auras and heals keeping them alive trough enchanting. If loco won't be able to make plays, going in team fights, enchanters from RT1 supports will come out on top, this style clash will be the deciding factor of the series.

Good Chi Gaming

Good Chi Gaming in playoffs so far: Chi has played one series in SLE playoffs already, vs powerhouse d2 team Runtime, and had a pretty decent showing, taking the series 2-1. While not completely clean, chi showed their strengths and all of their players showed star quality at their moments.

Strengths: In this series of very similar playstyle teams, Good Chi Gaming looks to be the stronger early game team. Not only their picks are more focused to take lead at the start of the game, but also they did gain significant leads vs Red Team 1 in both of their season meetings. The First 10-15 minutes of the game will be important for Good Chi to dictate the rules.

Weaknesses: While being good at team fights and setting up fights, Good Chi Gaming tends to sometimes overforce play that they have set up, tunnel visioning on one pick and letting opponents set up a stronger counter engage.

Red Team 1

Strengths: Red Team 1 is at their best in prolonged fights, once the fight has started they can coordinate peel, engages, cc, and focus on executing beautiful team fight turnarounds. Look for RT1 to turn around seemingly lost fights and clutching out impressive team fight wins.

Weaknesses: RT1 can be oblivious about key opponent abilities and engages at the beginning of the fight. While being excellent at prolonged fights, RT1 can find themselves losing a fight even before they can activate their prolonged execution, going down a member or getting comboed right away.
