Savages MVP Tracker - Week 2

                        Savage's MVP Tracker

Week 2 results are in, who is leading the MVP race? Did some players underwhelm after week 1? What new faces will we see on the list? Week 2 MVP tracking starts now!

*Disclaimer - games and performances I see on stream hold higher value to me than offsteram stats.

Week 2

10. Dutchh - Vitagen(NEW)

vs Lynx Dream on Ivern W 2/2/19
vs Lynx Dream on Javran W 4/1/20

Seasonal MVP contender Dutchh has taken a backseat playing a more supportive role to his high-flying teammates at the beginning of season 7, and while the funny missplays and bleeding in a matchup against Ahlefeldt, took him out off the week 1 list, the continuous excellence leaves me no choice but to start putting 3x All-SLE jungler in the MVP discussion.

9. Jesseija - Eternal Blizzard(NEW)

vs Black Lotus Esports on Jhin W 9/2/10
vs Black Lotus Esports on Senna W 4/2/22

Consistent and clean, Jess has made the transition from support to ADC seem effortless. Picking both, carry and supportive ADCs, playing weakside and strongside, and dealing with strong opposition, Jesseija has not been the main carry of the show but has filled the ad role for his team and done everything that has been asked from him.

8. RainD - Eternal Blizzard(NEW)

vs Black Lotus Esports on Smolder W 5/1/9
vs Black Lotus Esports on Tristana W 10/1/8

RainD has had similar performance to his ad Jesseija, playing almost flawless games, without many mistakes, but he has been just a bit more involved in his team success, especially with great gank setups for his star jungler JI. Building his own leads and helping his teammates, in the shadow of the superstar jungler, Shrekman is silently building his own MVP case.

7. Ruzu - Good Chi Nebula(NEW)

vs Emrys Hyena on Gragas W 6/2/13
vs Emrys Hyena on Kayle W 12/1/8

Most people rated Nebula as the strongest Chi team, and favorite to take it all in Season 7 SLE, but they have struggled so far. The only player on the team that has not struggled at all has been Ruzu, winning all of his lanes, and carrying his team to 50% record. Ruzu is in form and has been Nebula's savior. If he can keep it up, this might finally be the SLE title season for the Chinese toplaner.

6. Jeff - Deadly Chi(NEW)

vs Voidwarp on Ksante W 5/3/5
vs Voidwarp on Illaoi W 4/5/2

In week 1, Jeff held his own against Nebulas superstar Ruzu. Week 2 Jeff whipped the floor with SLE veteran Michy Darko. Jeff has been the best player for Deadly Chi so far and is the current frontrunner for the Rookie of the Split award.

5. Trouble Bubble - Assasins and Greed(NEW)

vs Black Flag Sailors on Hwei W 15/3/19
vs Black Flag Sailors on Aurora L 10/5/13

Week 1 for TB was played off stream and from stats did not look that hot, but week 2 on the Sanctuary stream was a star showing for Assasins and Greed midlaner. Game 1 was an all-time Sanctuary classic with an epic duel between Troublebubbles Hwei and the ex-best midlaner of this org - Denzer, this time from the jungle, with the first one carrying his team to the dub. Game 2 Bubbler kept going and held his team in the game, but eventually, it was not enough to secure the W, but it was enough to secure his place on this list.

4. Beuttner - Black Flag Sailors(-3)

vs Assasins and Greed on Miss Fortune L 10/8/13
vs Assasins and Greed on Jinx W 12/6/14

The star of week 1 started to show some weaknesses in week 1. Facing a dangerous duo in A&G botlane, Buettner decided to play it safe and not go for his known short-range high mobility ad carries, choosing to more lane dominant picks, but it did not pay off in game 1 where, while still being a threat, Buettner repeatedly failed to synergize with his support engages and find best positions to land devastating bullet times on MF. In game 2 Beuttner was back in his comfort zone on the late-game hyper carry, and did his usual job - taking his team to W in the late game.

3. Jomiie - Vitagen(-1)

vs Lynx Dream on Seraphine W 7/3/15
vs Lynx Dream on Seraphine W 8/1/16

Jomiie showed a masterclass in week 1 whipping out his legendary Ornn, while in week 2, off stream, he reminded his Estonian opponents why he is known for being the best on 2 different champions in SLE history, showing his Seraphine and helping his team to a dominant 4-0 SLE start.

2. Balthasar - Vitagen(+3)

vs Lynx Dream on Yone W 7/2/11
vs Lynx Dream on Rumble W 8/1/16

What a season-opening week it has been for Baltha, week 1 was already stellar, and while I did not see the games, the carry-heavy picks - Rumble and Yone, are starting to make Vitagens toplaner look like the Zeus of SLE.

Honorable Mentions
Sovonix, JL, Kaptenen, Ant, Jordi, Svullo, Zickaan, Jaded, Hitsu, LRAT, Benjamin, Kieffer, Shiy

1. Jonathan Issac - Eternal Blizzard(+3)

vs Black Lotus Esports on Viego W 10/4/9
vs Black Lotus Esports on Xin Zhao 9/0/13

For the second week in a row, JI follows a similar pattern - Game 1 again was solid, but I can't say that JI was the MVP of the game. BLE was actually in a very good position to win the game, and it took amazing engages and heroics from Benji and LRAT to turn this game around and keep the undefeated streak alive for EB. Game 2 again was a different tale for Jonathan - he took over the game, could not do anything wrong, and had yet another clean performance. So far, at his worst, JI is 7/10 or 8/10, and the consistency is what puts him in the first place.

Next up we have superweek. It will have a huge impact on the MVP run! See yall next week!

Love
Savage
