SLE Play-offs Runtime vs Jalapeons - Bottom bracket round 1

SLE Play-offs Runtime vs Jalapeons - Bottom bracket round 1. Friday 15th of April, 21:00 CEST

SLE Play-offs returns this Friday with another division 2 banger as we get our second chance to see both Jalapeons and Runtime. Both teams are coming off decent showings in their first series of the playoffs and will be looking to keep their tournament alive in this widely anticipated clash. The loser is out and after this series, only 2 division two teams will be left.

Spice vs Salt. Jalapeons have just eliminated a team that I would call Runtime Lite since CCG playstyle was quite similar to Runtime, but I say lite for a reason. Runtime has been a more disciplined, cleaner, and coordinated version of CCG showing competitive laning and decisiveness with the play they are making. Can Jalapeons continue to stir the pod by adding some drops of hot sauce to the SLE playoffs bracket with another upset or will Runtime prevail icing their hot-headed d2 rivals and earning another shot at a D1 team? My mind is telling me Runtime, but my tongue does like some Tobasco. I am predicting another upset here. Jalapeons will drag Runtime to Chipotle and do the unthinkable, by eliminating the D2 powerhouse Runtime.2-1 Jalapeons(I am already seeing this prediction aging like fine milk).
Asta the prophet prediction: So far Asta has called 2-1 for GCG vs RUN and 2-1 for JLP vs CCG. I've heard that he also predicted that some guy will eat the wrong bat somewhere in china, but don't quote me on this one. Will his property continue? Asta says 2-0 Runtime.

Matchup of the series: Krunche (Top, Jalapeons) vs Astaruh(Top, Runtime)

This series will come down to the toplane battle. Both toplaners have shown initiative to play carry champions Toplane and bet on themselves in high-pressure games. Astaruh whipped out an unexpected Viego top pick in their win against Good Chi Gaming, and showed his mastery on this pick, while Krunche, for me, was the MVP of the Jalapeons series vs CCG. Expect fireworks, predict solo kills and wait for a lot of jungle attention on the top side of the map.

    Jalapeons

Jalapeons in playoffs so far: to anyone that is saying that my food puns about Jalapeons are a low-hanging fruit, I say – Jalapeons have actually hung quite high. They forced an upset in a series that nobody(except for RUN Asta) expected them to win. This exciting team shows a lot f potential.

Strengths: While unpredictability is something that Jalapeons does have over any other team in the league, vs Runtime their strength is their laning and trigger happy attitude. Jalapenos have to look for 1x1, 2x2, and 3x3 outplays before Runtime sets up their objective plays and team fights.

Weaknesses: Farming – Jalapeons are playmakers, not farmers, they will bet their income on fights and if they dont succeed they might find themselves in large gold gaps canceling their ability to be competitive in later stages of the game. Key to beating JLP – shut down their early-early/mid game.

    Runtime

Runtime in playoffs so far: proved that d2 teams can stand up to d1 teams in their matchup vs Good Chi Gaming. They took a game off GCG and had competitive moments in other games as well. With more confidence, less nervousness, and trust in their instinct, Runtime can be the dark horse in the bottom bracket.

Strengths: Pragmatic accurate execution with the lead. Once Runtime has grabbed the lead, they are at their best when they set up objectives, 5 man pushes, and team fights. They rarely throw and even when they throw, they don't give up too much, Runtime regroups and restart their well-oiled machine.

Weaknesses: Early laning/botside. In series vs GCG Runtime ADC Diasobo showed competent performance, while not gapping anything, he was competitive most of the time. Sadly Runtime will have to make do with auto-filled ADC this time as their midlane will fill for Diasobo, who won't be able to attend this match. Vyon will have a tough task in his hands shutting down Jalapeons early rodeo as constant plays and pressure bot might be too much for them to handle.

You must tune in for this SLE playoffs game, Friday 15th of April, 21:00 CEST at the SLE twitch channel - https://www.twitch.tv/lol_sle
